I filed this against debian-installer and that is where it belongs. I tried
the Alternate i386 alpha 3 installer on Natty on a real computer and it hangs

As an experiement I've changed the apps place to use relevancy ranking
instead of alphabetic sorting for searches. When there is no search we
still list alphabetically of course. Modulo stopwords[1] I think this
works very well - a lot better than the current approach at least.

Hmm, this sounds like Pulse is dying and not restarting properly. I did
notice something similar at a time in this cycle when there was alot of
work going on in dbusmenu (the library responsible for that button) but
not for a few weeks now.

but I would have thought it's pretty old. All recent GSPCA development
has been completed in the kernel tree and is available in the latest
