I am also affected by this. I am using a Harmony Remote Control and the
Harmony does not support the native IMON protocol well and is unseable
on my setup. I even went back to Ubuntu 10.4 to use the old driver but
the recent kernel update has nixed that option for me as well.

them, restoring from hibernation is even *slower* than clean boot (lots

Ah, sorry, it indeed happens here. When I switch to the new theme, the
buttons keep being on the left initially, and then some ten seconds
later then switch to the right. So it seems yesterday I just didn't wait
long enough, sorry.

I've just tried to reproduce this problem in Ubuntu 10.10 and can't. So
I'm marking this as 'invalid' for "Synaptic in Ubuntu". Please reopen
this if you can reproduce this issue.
I have not checked this with the default update-manager dialog. It would
be good someone could check that.

i'm staying away from the fglrx drivers until this situation has been
resolved. even if i'm using the standard desktop and not unity. all this
talk of x breaking is rather worrying.

typing break is not visible / noticeable. It triggers, because when I
