In 10.04 nmcli worked from cron. I have a PPTP vpn connection which I
startup overnight via cron using the nmcli syntax:
nmcli -p con up id VPN
In 10.10 this returns the message:

Also, there is no need to use root_command_output -- "/usr/sbin/named

I've got the same problem using the standard netinstall image via pxe,
I've manually created a md0 for /boot and md1 for /.
After the first reboot, /boot wasn't mounted by ubuntu, and md1 got
assembled with /dev/sda and /dev/sdb instead of /dev/sda2 and /dev/sdb2.

The bug report can be closed.
The solution has been provided (use a non-gui tool like aptitude which enables
interactions - here: accept the licence) by the update-manager informations
display in the terminal window.
Unfortunately the popup to open a bug report came before that. which is just
Fabrice,
0.4.1~r3557-1 is what we have in Debian right now, and the same version
is packaged in GeeXboX/OpenBricks. It's not as stable as I'd like, but
it works reasonably well (and is definitely better than a broken package
:p). We can always add this version to Ubuntu now, and update it later

This bug (probably the same) hits us too. It looks like it could be
triggered by short network failure (dropped packets) as well as server
crashes.
The problem hits us very often, please investigate this problem. We will
provide any further information and logs you ned.

I'm sorry, but I was a little bit to fast. After I attached Linux Mint
Julia to wlan and USB-Memory, it crashed after the Filetransfer began
immediately also.
But I found finally a workaround, which I have tested the last 2 days:
I deinstalled the pm-utils 1.4 with synaptic. Download the packa
This is already fixed in Debian sid, so no forwarding necessary.
Therefore we don't really need an upload for this specifically, as it's
just a small cosmetical problem and will cause a conffile change.
Instead, this will be fixed when we merge sysvinit with Debian the next
time.
