Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

While using Search -> Regular Expressions, the replace button remains
disabled even when the search string is provided (waits for change to
replace box before activating). Often it is used to remove certain lines
in which case replace field will remain blank. So the replace button
should not wait for some entry into the "replace with" box.
