As Peter mentions, I have had this bug with no X running, so it may well
be kernel related, rather than xorg specific. I didn't get the freezes
using the ubuntu upstream kernels .34 line, but I can't get ndiswrapper
to work with that kernel, so I can't use it for extended periods.

QuickStarter is disabled in the official upstream version of OOo
probably due to bugs, but ooo-build appears to have thought they fixed
it and turned it back on. Perhaps they were wrong. I have emailed the
list to see if anyone else is seeing this same problem and what needs to

'console output' in /etc/init/rc.conf. I was able to boot three times
without issue, but then on the fourth boot cups didn't start again.
