I just purchased a hp dv6-2190us and loaded the latest ubuntu today
(Lucid). I also dist-upgraded to make sure i was running the latest
kernel. My laptop contains an i7 720qm, and turbo boost does not work
at all. I don't see how this bug is fixed at least for my laptop.

Tried the position_fix=1 suggestion without notable benefit. However,
after that it occurred to me that I had to tweak alsa-base.conf in
Karmic to get sound at all. I have now forward-ported the changes from
my Karmic installation, so the relevant lines now read:
options snd slots=snd-hda-intel,sn
Interestingly I was getting this problem on Archlinux until I upgraded
to QT 4.7.0-Beta 1 and then it dissapeared. I've got QT 4.7.0-Beta 1 on
Kubuntu though and it still doesn't work, so I suspect that the basic
problem is fixed but that there's still need for some config fun.

I am encounter the same problem with the Ubuntu Lucid desktop accessing
Ubuntu Lucid server with samba share. When i connect the samba share
with Nautilus the file transfer achieve 40MB/s but when mount samba
share with autofs, the file transfer speed only 9 MB/s and when mount
with fstab, the file

Our installer now pulls in btrfs-tools, and it is a maverick goal to at
least offer btrfs as a non-default file system.
Full MIR yet to be written (not necessarily by me, since I'm only
helping out in this cycle), but I'm pre-promoting to unb
Setting to incomplete until full MIR review happens. I did a cursory
packaging check which looks okay.

According to a thread in the forum

my disabled networking was probably caused after a hibernate locked up
the machine and I had to physically reboot it. Unfortunately, the
solution in the thread is for Ubuntu, not KU
