Hi all,
I've been meaning to post about these issues for a bit, but I've been
swamped with other work. The nForce smbus error message is benign. You

setup and my current "good" setup (aside from the RC vs RTM aspect): the
version of Lightning.
The 10.04 RC had a Lightning package in there, so I was running

Hello i have an nvidia graphics card with the latest drivers from lucid 10.04
and latest version of lucid.
The problem still exists especially when there is big movement on the screen
but only when compiz is enabled. if you disable the desktop effects then there

Have any of you who have been trying 2.6.34rc3-51 experienced Xorg using
abnormally much CPU time? With an idle (KDE) desktop, it seems to be
consuming 10-30 times more CPU than with 2.6.32-22. It's hard to get an

Maybe this bug affects me too. My computer used to be a desktop, but
I've removed screen and keyboard, so I guess it's a server. It's behind
a proxy that doesn't require authentication. I log in to the computer on
the intranet using ssh.

Update: seems it's an error in "Xorg", I can set the resolution 1024x768
but under the 1152x864 mode, so the mode 1024x768 will set the mode
800x600, the 1360x768 the mode 1152x864 .. But that caused the re-write
of the xorg.conf file by the NVIDIA X Server Settings and the moving of
all gnome appl
