I am using a nebook, Asus Eee PC. I am dual booting, Windows 7 is the
other OS. I'm new to Ubuntu only had it installed about a month so not
sure what I'm doing. But I was running 9.14, and then upgraded to 10.04
about a week ago.
Affects me as well. I'm pretty sure I was using 4.1 in Karmic as well
(AFAIR installed a getdeb.net package) and it didn't have this problem.

I've also just upgraded to Lucid, only to find this Suspend/resume problem
recur. This most recently suggested solution (to set GRUB to nomodeset)
does solve the Suspend problem. But it also results in a significant drop
in video quality. For example, Compiz becomes pretty unmanageable. And I

I'm also having low Compiz performance, specially in menus, with the
following configuration:
- Graphic processor: ATI Radeon HD 5750
- Graphic driver: fglrx
- Graphic processor family processing power: 4,7 TFLOPS
- Screen resolution: 1920x1080
- Screen refresh frequency: 60 Hz
- Maximum glxgears
No, I just tested two clips, one in 720p and the other in SD and it
looks to me that it's been fixed. Good work to whoever fixed this, and

i just figured out that lucid starts the script only at the end of the
bootprocess. My boot takes 35 seconds, at 30 seconds,
/etc/init.d/ondemand ist started, with the 60 seconds in the script
lucid leaves me 55 seconds in performance for nothing, this is really
annoying once on battery power!

The point is that the certificate key should *never* be world readable
for security reasons. Otherwise you might as well not use encryption at
all as any user on your system can access it. That's the whole reason
for the nscl/nslcd concept. Better use the solution I posted above.
