I found that when there is a problem during the update, follow the
instruction mentioned in the console to do something manually and the
problem seems to be solved. Since I am a new user of ubuntu, I think
most of the bugs were created by my mistakes.

My 2 cents:
For server, there are lots of other places where password behaves the
same (including login) so for consistency I wouldn't change sudo
behavior.
For desktop, in most places, privileged actions trigger a GUI pop-up in
which you enter your password (with the "usual" password feedback).

I can confirm this bug on Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala". I attempted to
use evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 to print the attached djvu file to my Canon
i965 (installed as BJC 8200+foomatic drivers), attached locally via USB.
My libcairo2 is version 1.8.8-2ubuntu1.1.
After pressing print, evince's printing

I've installed testdrive just today and configured it to use virtualbox. But I

i did notice that i had a error 50=52! perl something or other in the
logfiles when accesing mythexport
so i deleted anything associated with mythtv and i again have to
troubleshoot my no audio problem which i somehow fixed last time
problem is in dsp inpu

Obviously that's a device limitation (assuming one of the devices is a
hard disk), but sequential copying or timesharing with very large time
slots (each file get a few seconds at a time for copying its contents)
would avoid the problem never the less.

As a work-around, I finally located the U1 credentials (they're in the
gnome keyring) and deleted them. When re-launching the U1 preferences,
I was redirected through oauth again.

Hi.I also encountered a similar problem
Everytime i shutdown my Karmic system ,the monitor displays something as
follows:

I'm not sure , why/what Lonnie is confused about the wording there. I
dont see any confusion there.
