I am using Jaunty on my Asus n71vn. The event for the touchpad is

The design question is whether to always update the script (and as a
result, the package) when Medibuntu releases a new version (as I think
is the current design) or to design it dynamically with a static fall
back.

Only affects amd64 as the version in the reps is
4:4.3.95svn1080080-0ubuntu1 while i386 has 4:4.3.98-0ubuntu2 which
this issue is fixed in. As a basic workaround I simply got the amd64
package and removed the deps.

I've seen this error before. It's fixed in Ubuntu Lucid. I'll look into getting
an SRU for this, since it makes the lyrics plugin unusable.
