Suspend and Hibernate worked like a Charm in 8.10.
Since I upgraded to 9.10 (karmic), resuming from hibernate does not work
anymore -- the screen shows "Resuming please wait" and just freezes.

The qt bug fix is important for those who are running KDE 4.4. Is there

I'm using a Dell optiplex 760 with an intel i915 chipset.
The problem is that xorg *usually* doesn't recognize the screen so it uses a
lower resolution 800x600. The only available resolutions are 640x480 and
800x600.

Installing awn then resulted in all awn gconf key default values being
unassigned (no value). Starting up awn-settings failed as well. The
current awn version was released about two weeks ago so it's most
probably an awn bug.

It seems that reboot=acpi does not work.
I installed 2.6.33-rc6 (from today) and rebooted successfully 4 times
after booting with reboot=bios, like before. I then changed the boot
parameter to reboot=acpi. After booting with this the first time, the
computer came back up successfully after a reboo

Hmm, after removing that ppa using ppa-purge (and thus downgrading
xserver-xorg-video-ati), I got the same behavior. So, I do not withdraw this
bug report as it happens here also with the official Lucid package.
