Had some problem in ubuntu 9.10 after "apt-get update" when kernel
package was updated to 2.6.31-17.55~ppa7 version. I was boot old kernel,
installed on my laptop and fixed it with that commands:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure udev
sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.31.17-generic
