That question is a normal debconf prompt, which gets only asked once.
But it gets preseeded by grub-installer (not grub-install!) to
completely avoid the question if grub2 gets installed by it.
If you want to see it (again) you have to run
sudo dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc.
