Yeah, this doesn't seem to actually be implemented. I'm using the
Banshee daily PPA in Ubuntu 9.10. I think the upstream bug link is
wrong, that bug is about being able to drag playlists onto devices, but
this bug is about keeping a playlist in sync with a device.

I have been having the same problem recently.
Asking on the #ubuntu IRC channel, I was told that "scrot" works, and it
does.
Without any arguments it dumps a copy of the root window into a file in
the current directory. Problem solved.

While this can easily be fixed by changing the /etc/gdm/gdm.conf file
manually, if it is not fixed by the next package update, users could
upgrade and find their system won't start X upon the next reboot...

Scanning from xsane worked under 9.04, but now crashes under 9.10.
Scanner is an HP Scanjet 3500c. Can get most of the way through a
preview scan under Skanlite, but if you let it do the entire preview
scan it crashes. Xsane just crashes.
