The problem has not been solved. I had to do a completely new installation.
From the error messages I got the impression that it had something to

problems every half year when you have to upgrade.
Downgrading qtpfsgui to jaunty worked for me though. Now I can save EXR

that's the only difference, beside some Zend configuration
So when I turn magic quotas On, that problem disapeares.
Seems that it's not a bug, but just a configuration mistake.
Sorry for wasting your time and
thankyou for everything.

Yeah, that could work, too. I was going with 'rw' in case one keeps ALL
the image files in one place, the base images AND the overlays. I, for
example, have /path/to/images_dir/masters for the base images, and
/path/to/images_dir for the overlays.

AppArmor security driver does not support back
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: am-utils
Settings on our systems has cache_duration = 1800 (30 minutes) what we
are seeing however is that the mount disappears with 2 minutes (amd
default timeout) of last access. This is occurring most noticeably now
that we are switching to karmic 6
On a similar note, half of the time my computer does not turn the
monitor off. Instead of blanking the screen, it puts an icon in the
notification tray until I move the mouse to "wake" it.

The client code doesn't retry if it fails to get a token. It only
retries when syncdaemon tells the applet that auth has failed. If you
fail to get a token due to a 50x error on the server or something
similar, then you get a somewhat unreadable error dialog full of html,

I'm having the same problems. Trying to make a 3g connection available
for all users, but this just causes the connection to disappear.
Spang's procedure doesn't help me: I can run through the whole 3g
connection creation wizard, but afterwards the connection just never
gets added to the list.
