Hi,

The problem has not been solved. I had to do a completely new installation.
From the error messages I got the impression that it had something to
do with OpenOffice.

I used Linux now for about 10 years, but with kubuntu you have a lot of
problems every half year when you have to upgrade. I solved the problems
every time (sometimes by a fresh installation), but it costs a lot of
time. I now think that Linux is an operating system for computer
specialists and not for a simple researcher in electrical engineering
like me. I'm very sorry to say that I'm going to use Windows on my next pc.

Kind regards and feeling sorry,
Martin Hoeijmakers
