Tried today to switch again to nvidia proprietary driver after new
kernel release, the behaviour is the same. This problem still isn't
solved.
Confirmed that nvidia-96-kernel-source is to be purged if you want to
restore situation to mesa nv driver. This means actually the nvidia
proprietary modul
Can we at least have the old working version? I don't see any point to
have a new one if it's broken.

lsusb reports my E169 HSDPA usb stick as:

I also have an ACER laptop (5510) and notice the same problem when I
upgraded to Karmic, but on Gnome's Terminal. So for sure not kde
related.
Also I can confirm that RMMOD'ing acer_wmi kernel module will fix the

I have this problem in Ubuntu 9.10 as well. Upon resuming from suspend,
sometimes by Bluetooth mouse no longer works.
When things are not working:
- the mouse shows up in the list of connected devices
- the Bluetooth receive light on my laptop blinks when I move the mouse or
click the buttons

This is broken for me from bootup until a time that I manually suspend.
If I first suspend via hotkey or panel menu, after resuming the
functionality returns and the laptop will suspend when lid closed.
If I don't force a suspend by some other method, I can repeatedly close
the lid without trigger

Hi again,
I've installed Kubuntu karmic in 2 more laptops than mine (also Acer aspire
5520 series) and with the same problem.
Will devs take care about this? or will have to switch to another distro?
