faulting when run. I found out the problem is with the timidity.so
input plugin in "/usr/lib/audacious/Input". Actually the same thing
happens when compiled from source, so I guess there is a problem
upstream in the code for the ti

Nope this did not fix the issue. Might be something I am installing
(MythTV, mysql???)

I encountered this bug also, with a fresh install of karmic (UNR), vpnc,
and network-manager-vpnc .My company's vpn requires that I enter a
passcode from an RSA SecurID token, but I did not ever get prompted for
such.
I did find the following workaround:
- NetworkManager \ VPN Connections \ Confi

I don't know if it is already mentionned. The problem is not only
related to compiz desktop effects it occurs also when enabling composite

I have solved this problem by running the sharpfonts script from
http://www.sharpfonts.com/ and renaming /etc/fonts/local.conf to
/etc/fonts/local.backup.conf
Now all fonts are rendered properly in firefox, openoffice, screenlets,...

They put out a patch for the bios update I mentioned. it makes no
difference.

I have a similar problem as mf in post #6. Using the Zonet ZEW1505 card
with rt8185L chipset and the rtl8180 kernel driver, running wpa2, the
connection starts up ok, weak signal compared to older wireless, and
