Even if that were the case, there doesn't seem to be a way to modify the
countdown at all, save disabling it altogether via gconf. That is
unacceptable in my opinion. A 5 second delay would be useful in case of
a mistake, but since you can't configure it, it is just plain annoying.

Hi, I had the same problem. My modem HUAWEI E169 is detected as a pendrive and
not at all as a modem (sometimes it is not even recognised).
While waiting for the official patch, I installed kernel 2.6.32-rc5 and
everything works well.

I got sick of the loss of connection and not being able to even update
the system without multiple connection restarts. I went ahead and
installed ndiswrapper and all is fine with the world of my wireless
card now.

Additional note - suspend failed at the graphical login screen after
logging out of my user account. Perhaps something is getting
initialized by my desktop (e.g. dri) that exposes a driver bug?
