Further testing seems to invalidate the "eucalyptus started before
network" theory.
I added a loop to wait for the external IP address to show up before
starting up eucalyptus. It does *not* prevent the DEADLOCK issues.

I am using jaunty and to me this seems like a bug in the Regional & Language
settings page in KDE.

I upgraded my toshiba satellite from ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 beta. since the
upgrade the pc fails to boot on battery power. when i boot it with the
ac/dc-adapter plugged in, it runs fine. pulling the adapter out of the
computer leads to a crash. the system freezes ant won't respon
If there is no soon plan for 64-bit Adobe Reader, it would at least be useful
to include a 32-bit version with proper libraries, like they do in

I get the same message and I don't see any splash while booting but only
text on screen until KDM starts. I have a NVidia card so it may be
related to the nvidia drivers.

OK, I got it. I was just curious. Then that's probably something else. I
hope you can find what uses the npviewer and replace with the 64 bit version
of it if available.

xsplash 0.8.3 doesn't fix this problem for me.
The only difference I can notice is that xsplash indeed watches for the
resolution change and afterwards stops drawing it's GUI elements at all.
The weird-sized background textures are still there.
