issues. 9.7 solved scale and performance problems with XV. 9.8 solved
flickering problem with OpenGL and finally the XV performance got even

as a workaround, i am using a script to do this for me. place/name the
script:
/etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/99vpnfix
and chmod +x it. dont forget to edit the interfaces/network
addresses/host addresses/etc to reflect YOUR actual network!! these
values are what i need and don't apply to any

There's nothing wrong with the scaling. If you take the scaling code out
the banding still remains. One of the drawing functions must have a
problem with 16bpp mode.

In general suspending with Karmic seems to be a stately process: just
pulling out the power cord an dshutting the lid
Thanks. This is obviously filesystem corruption of some kind (and I
don't know why; it's particularly weird that it seems to happen
repeatably), but for this particular case I'll make grub-common's init
script check for a zero-sized file on boot, and if so then make it just
delete it.

Hi, I have a dell latitude 6400 laptop with an intel 4500 mobile graphics card.
I suspect I have a similar problem, but it does not seem exactly the same, so I
