I tried the generic amd64 on a HP Proliant server and it worked perfectly.
I needed to pxeboot the installer, so I had to manually copy the igb-next.ko
and dca.ko (module dependency of igb-next.ko) using a USB stick, then it worked
perfectly.

I can confirm the bug (on karmic), only that it is unlikely that it should be

I have reproduced the problem with emacs-snapshot-gtk (karmic), emacs23-gtk
(compiled from debian source packages) and the FSF sanctioned vanilla tarballs

This is still a problem on my box and there appear to be at least two

Amarok 2.1.1orig-0ubuntu4:
1) No longer depends on libqtscript4-qtbindings
2) Even with libqtscript4-qtbindings installed I still cannot load scripts

For me it is busted as soon as I start up the machine unless I change
the ownership on the /var/log/* files to syslog:syslog and then it
will work fine.
I've just done the same as you after a fresh install of rsyslog to
make sure I'm on the latest repository version.

This is a very bad problem. As far as I know, Empathy is the only way I
can use cam and voice with google talk in linux. I usually just use the
gmail.com in a web browser to chat and select to be invisable, but I
open Empathy to voice or video chat. As soon as I open Em

~/.subversion/ contains configuration files that users are expected to
modify from time to time.
By your own rationale in the bug description, I believe this qualifies
them to be located where they currently are.

Thanks Sebastien, here's a backtrace, but I am not sure I am doing it
right; I get to the part where I type "continue" and then try to
replicate the problem. After opening a window, nautilus peaks the cpu,
then stops. I have to open a new terminal and type "killall nautilus"
