I use the lasted Karmic. This is a very bad problem. As far as I know, Empathy is the only way I can use cam and voice with google talk in linux. I usually just use the gmail.com in a web browser to chat and select to be invisable, but I open Empathy to voice or video chat. As soon as I open Empathy I see this message on gmail.com's chat:
"Oops! You are not invisible because you're logged into Google Talk from another client, device, or location that doesn't support invisibility." Google talk's API is completely open source. (http://code.google.com/apis/talk/) Why is MSN's hidden/invisible supported but not google talk? Thanks for all the hard work on Empathy. I am astonish by the features that do work.
