Is that a regression from intrepid, or cause serious bugs? In
particular, would this have helped to mitigate vulnerabilities which
were discovered/fixed in jaunty?
This does not match the SRU criteria at first sight, so please elaborate

You need to file a separate bug report for each bug. More than likely

According to http://www.x.org/wiki/Server16Branch both patches will be
merged in xserver-1.6.3[+1]. But for testing purposes it would be
definitely nice to have them patched in karmic.
