I am obviously affected.
Since a couple of days, I am forced to shutdown/restart using emergency
commands, because Ubuntu is not shutting down correctly.
In tty7 I can see, as last command, "Asking all remaining processes to
terminate", but even killing them by Alt+Stamp+I does not solve the prob
Uhm, seems a Dell-related issue...

I have now tried the new drivers with an older Karmic, upgraded from
jaunty, that still has xorg.conf and uses it to set the options I
mentioned above (EXANoComposite=yes, MigrationHeuristic=smart).
The new versions work whether the options are included or not; the
difference is apparent in Xorg.0
Problem still exists in Jaunty, no matter which kernel I try:
/var/log/syslog.0, kernel.log.0 and debug.0 grow about 1 MB per minute.

Uh guys? Can we get this patch applied? Without it on Karmic, I get
the discovery started notice but no notices of services being discovered
at that point. With it, the service notifications appear.
