Confirming for virtualbox-ose; I get the same behavior on a fairly basic
Jaunty install. Also, the screen brightness will dim if I work solely
inside Virtualbox for a while; surely, a symptom of the same problem.

Jaunty 9.04 server - this is slightly different, in that NetworkManager
isn't involved here.

Well, it's not forcing a logout on Karmic. The game is refusing to

The partition I made for OS testing isn't large enough for Half-Life 2

Adding -cpu core2duo,-nx made my karmic image boot again. Same for -cpu
qemu64,-nx. But without the -nx, it doesn't boot.
I'm on jaunty with 2.6.28-13-generic.
