the look of KDE4 file picker for me.
But openoffice shows filepicker from KDE3 that ignore my "places" and other
changes that I do in KDE4 filepicker.

As reported, Freeplayer isn't able to work with VLC 0.9.x (Intrepid and
newer release of Ubuntu).
As described on Ubuntu-fr.org (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/freeplayer), the
workaround is :
Edit the file : '/usr/bin/vlc-fbx'.
Delete "–wx-systray" from the file
Replace : –config="~/
Yup sound died eventually for me too after the first call - will possibly be
able to try the kernel this weekend (although it's my mom's machine that I'm
administering remotely so I don't want to risk breaking anything)

But I'm even upgraded to Karmic Alpha to get latest packages and the bug
is still there...
I cannot boot...

Looking at the simple-ccsm window I see some stars, and I have no clue
what they mean. I hover over some things and get tooltips (such as the
accessibility items) but no tooltips for stars, so I click the help
button. Nothing happens.

We also experience this problem.
It seems to be caused by WebStart not being able to handle locally named
Desktop folders.
For example, with the Hungarian local in Jaunty, the Desktop folder is
named Asztal.
If you create a link named as Desktop in your home folder and the link
is named Desktop,

I solved the problem changing the minipciex card on my Acer AspireOne with an
