I.e. if one NIC (whether wired or wireless) is declared as static
/etc/network/interfaces,
then I can't create a *system* connection with nm-connection-editor for the
other NIC.
I'm able to create user connections, i.e. without checking the "Available to

"Home Folder" is not redundant, because "Home" is a *concept*, not the
actual name of the directory. "Home" is the directory "/home."

Good news!!!
Catalyst 9.6 installed and is now working with the 2.6.24 rt kernel on Hardy
Heron 8.04.2 amd64 UbuntuStudio. The only problem I encountered was the need
to disable randr to get my big desktop working.

I gave up waiting for this fix in the ubuntu kernel. Instead I returned
to the kernels on array.org from Adam McDaniel. He has been kind enough
to distill a jaunty kernel for us after the Ubuntu Jaunty kernel
appeared to work so slow with netbook-launcher.
