I am little confused. After difficulty with Brasero reading DVD, I have

Maybe it contributes to some percieved issues, but the main issue for me is
that I have high resolution monitor combined with a high DPI mouse, while
trying to grab a 1 pixel wide border. My setup is for gaming (in Windows), but
I like linux too.

I don't use any external usb hubs with any of my pc's.
Motherboard manufacturers are known for using cheap internal usb hubs on
their mobos though.
I've heard of people having issues with cheap internal hubs.
The thing is that only Jaunty has given me this problem.

I'm having the exact same issues as you.
No overclocking here either. System freezes, but still power to usb
devices though they don't function. The keyboard functions for about
ten or twenty seconds after the mouse freezes then it stops responding
also.

Looking at the source vino-mdns.c there are only two options available:
1) if the translation file defines vino-mdns:showusername=1 then the MDNS name
is "$username"
2) otherwise the MDNS name is "$username's remote desktop on $hostname"
It would be good to have a third option:
3) "$hostname"

I simply can't view HULU videos, only problem so far as all other flash videos
work just choppy as using wifi, so if find 1 I want I use Video DL'er to
acquire & watch it stable.
I have no idea why Hulu videos never worked for me @ all.
