I've got the same problem. It's started after todays (13.06.2009) update. My
screen started to blink every few minutes.
It's very irritating. There is nothing in log files about that.
Architecture: x86_64

There is no screen flashing or brightness changing like described in the other
bug. Only the whole Plasma and KWin and all window stuff is disappearing
completely (without flashing back or something).

I do not mean in any way to disparage anyone's efforts in writing
drivers for graphics cards. My comment was simply an attempt to
summarize the situation with respect to getting a graphics card to work
under X based on what I read in the bug reports. I upgraded from an ATI
9600 to an ATI
I can confirm that the problem still occurs using hp nx7400 and ubuntu 9.04
(it can suspend to ram, but not hibernate).

You are right,the snapshot doesn't expand to other filesystems, and I was
wrong in my description. Sorry !
However mount points like /cdrom and /media/LABEL are under /cow and are saved
in the snapshot, but that does no harm b/c the directories /cow/cdrom and
/cow/media/LABEL have no content.
Do I just download the beta cdrtools? I'm not sure which tarball to get
