I'd also like to know which versions of KDE stuff you're using - in
particular packages still belonging to 4.2.2 and 4.2.3. For me, this is:

If the upgrade to 4.2.4 was really a reason to fix it, then we should
see some differences here. Suspicious are the python and other bindings
not being 4.2.90...
