About grub : I have installed gfxgrub (and theme) and deleted some items
of the boot menu from the file /boot/grub/menu.lst before updating to
Jaunty.

gnome-power-manager (as of 2.26.1-0ubuntu3) does not detect notify-osd
for changing the brightness levels. The reason for this is that the
libnotify code in the Ubuntu patch is surrounded by a #ifdef
HAVE_LIBNOTIFY, which is no longer defined in the new version of
gnome-power-

Hi John,
That might be it... my output of lspci shows I 'm using the same
