I have the same problem. AltGr stop to work after a while. The problem
affect only gnome : altgr work in terminal (ctrl+alt+F1) and with xev.
I use Ubuntu 9.04 with 2 usb keyboard (Logitech UltraFlat and TypeMatrix 2030)
and tree layout.

I suspect that this has to do with the fact that if you launch totem from the
system menu, then it will not honour the proxy settings. When we open a
terminal first and launch totem from that then YouTube plugin works.

I can confirm this on 9.04 installed from scratch (rather than updated).
The first few times I have installed updates it has worked fine. This

Hi I deleted the existing profile and created a new one as suggested.
I have now noticed that Firefox is working very except for the
yahoo.com.au site!
This suggests to me that the way Firefox is using Swfdec 0.8.2 is an

it's been disabled by 116_8xx_disable_dri.patch in the official xserver-
xorg-video-intel ubuntu packages. You can try using drivers from this
PPA which has git snapshots from upstream without that patch. This is

It have improved a little bit, but not enough. Right now it doesn't crashes
but it still working unproperly: i can not see what the *flash* is playing,
I mean in webs maden with flash I can hear the sound, Firefox does not
crash, but I am not able to see what is happening in the *flash* app.
On hp 6730b with 9.04 brightness control keys are working great,
but after upgrade to 9.04 I noticed that when notebook is suspended or
hibernated through power-management it cant be resumed, it restarts instead
resume, but that is for another bug report.

(Debugged in IRC) Installing that as 10-keymap.fdi worked. This was just
a first test, however, so please delete that file from your system
again.
Now please replace
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/10-x11-keymap.fdi with the attached
variant.

There are three ways to enable Metacity's compositing manager:
1. (Requires Jaunty, I think) Press Alt-F2 and run (without quotes) "metacity
--composite --replace"
2. Click the "Applications" menu, navigate to "System" or "System Tools", and
run "Configuration Editor". Navigate to the /apps/meta
The upstream bug was http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=577139,
and it's fixed in the repo.
Nautilus still doesn't allow extensions to register shortcuts (which has
conflict potential with builtin shortcuts or other extensions), but now
users can assign a shortcut themselves.

It seems that the new way of recognizing Nokia S60 phones by their
storage.model doesn't work with all the S60 phones after all. I have a
Nokia E51 which reports its storage.model as "E51", not "S60" as
expected by http://cgit.freedesktop.org/hal
