Just ran into this problem in Jaunty when testing smem (mentioned on
this weeks LWN front page), and also described in the smem list archive
here by someone else:

Manged to get it working by using 'sudo -i' and then running ./ironkey
I'm not sure this is an ideal solution for newbies and could potentially
put people off. Should this still be considered a bug?
