well.. i just want to let you know about what i've been trying so far. Unfortunately, without any success, as the computer keeps hanging completely at least once a day, but someone may roll out some possible problems from this.
I must say that the computer doesn't respond to ping after crashing, so it's not just xorg or kde. what i've tried is: -removing the bluetooth device and using a ps2 mouse and keyboard. -using ppa repositories to get the latest video drivers. -using a different video card, another nvidia card i've got. -downgrading the nvidia driver to the 96 version. -using "nv" instead of "nvidia" in xorg.conf.
