Actually libindi _should_ be required in jaunty, in order to have
telescope control support in kstars. At the moment kstars depends on
package indi, but those functionalities are currently broken in kstars
package.

If I collect trace, it works. For example this works:

I have found the same issue. Just switched theme to Dust and now I can launch
Lotus Notes 8.5 without a problem. Earlier it started up, but when it was to
display the mail or calendar it just hung as described above.
Changing the theme from New Wave to another one was the workaround.

I have the same problem on amilo laptop with RaLink 2860 when connecting
to D-Link DWL-2100AP access point. It was fixed by setting "Cypher alg."
to "AES" instead of "Auto". But it was my own access point, and i
haven't access to all access points in the world. :)

Having the same issue, but my lsusb hangs after the mouse stops working.
It seems random, but it's never happened while the system was idle.
I've noticed it stop while watching full screen flash videos (ala
hulu.com), playing Nexuiz, and consistantly when I try to open more than
one pdf at a time.
As I reported in a previous post, Baobab gets the size with
g_file_info_get_size() from Gio library. Nothing fancy. Maybe a Gio bug?
I will investigate with developers.
