I am under the assumption that this problem is related to the HPET issues
others are experiencing. With HPET (enabled
by default), the system becomes unstable over time.. Installed Jaunty again and
tried two kernels: one with HPET enabled and one with HPET disabled. So far,
the system, with HPET
New crash direct after starting wine.
Two observations:
1. Numlock indicator started blinking
2. System monitor applet disappeared from screen before the crash

Same problem on 32bit jaunty with a VGA compatible controller: nVidia
Corporation G71 [GeForce 7300 GS] (rev 06) card.
Scrolling up and down the page quickly makes the screen blank
temporarily, and eventually results in hard freeze and reboot and on odd
occasions gnome will die and return me to th

I want to add that Opengl applications (such as glxgears) do not
correctly tun in background, i.e. they still display image on top of
other windows, when compiz desktop effects are enabled. not sure if
this is related to this bug, but that nay indicate an problem with
radeon DRI / mesa / compiz i

I have the same problem in a easynote v7900 running ubuntu 8.10. It dosen't

I hibernated it successfully, and it didn't resume the next day, it just
repaired broken transactions in my fs and booted like a normal boot.
