Ubuntu 8.10 and up to Jaunty alpha5 were able to establish network connection

Another note to add.
When running under the Jaunty Beta live session, I was able to use the 3G usb
stick, will little trouble.
Enclosed is the folder with logs for that session. in daemon.log it can be
shown that the modem successfully makes connection.

nvtv will only work with the "old" i810. If you are using 8.04 then give
it a try. There should be something appear on the TV after you have made
the changes to xorg.conf. Then nvtv comes to the game.

to change the build directory in the Makefile that I am aware of. There
is already the possibility to change the value of "$LANG" in fix-urls.sh
and that should take care of any translation requirements.

I can confirm this. I think it had something to do with the blocked
languagepack update, which has now disappeared as well. As for now, i can't

Ricardo: first of all, thanks for reporting the problem and for
suggesting a workaround. I have worked on a solution which will not
break the drivers whose handlers do not report the version in the name
of the driver (i.e. any other handler but the nvidia one).
Martin: can you have a look at my so
the problem is, these custom settings are not saved after closing the dialog
after you close the gstreamer-properties dialog, video input settings are set
back to default values.
Where is the config file, so i can write setting in there by hand ?

I get a similar error on a Lenovo 3000 N100 768BXG. the Fn+F5 key
doesn't do what it is supposed to. The key press is detected in the
event scanners but is simply not handled by the system.

The problem has reappeared in Jaunty.
I really think that people who need the build packages permanently
should install the manual. I guess most people use apt-get build-dep or
apt-src if they need one or two packages.
Is this a final decision or a bug in Jaunty?

Just installed the new drivers and now hotplug, pressure, pen and eraser
work on my Bamboo. Eraser was the only one of those that hadn't been

information, there is very little can be done to resolve the issue. Can
you use Ctrl+Alt+F2 to go to a TTY terminal console? You should be able
to login, and run the updates again using "sudo apt-get update" and
"sudo apt-get dist-up
