the issue seems to be an exchange error raised, you should open that to
bugzilla.gnome.org, there is no ubuntu bug triager having access to an
exchange server to work on those bugs

Hello,
I've noticed the same problem with my fully updated ubuntu 8.04 with Totem
Movie Player 2.22.1 (Movie Player using GStreamer 0.10.18 and GNOME). I tried
gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///path/to/video
The video plays slow then as well.
The following text is displayed on the console:
Tested Jaunty latest cdlive. The bug is still there.
Given that Dell actually sells the laptops affected by this bug with Ubuntu
preinstalled, it seems incredible to me that after more than a year the bug is
still not fixed.

This seems to have regressed in Intrepid. Somewhere pointed at
http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/pool/main/l/linux/ though that seems to be yet-
to-be-released kernels only (2.6.28- debug vs 2.6.26- in Intrepid
updates).
