You can try an older kernel, there's a chance it's initrd isn't tainted
with a set of rules that has watch in it; you'll then be able to boot in
and fix it.
Alternatively you can get in to your system via chrooting. That's a
bit of console work though, and really depends on how you set things up
Have you added any udev rules that use watch? You should be able to
grep the files...
sudo grep -ri watch /etc/udev
sudo grep -ri watch /lib/udev
Then comment out any watches like this one has been (from grep result)

I am also having the same issue/behaviour here.

better to change this output to be STDOUT rather than STDERR. Whilst I
agree it's not an error that should be in STDERR, it is perhaps valid

I think my provider's DHCP server may be causing this. It often happens
when I replug network cable to another computer and back. As the NM
defaults to 'auto' connection it tries to reget the address, the DHCP
server goes crazy (MAC address is changed twice) and returns crap

updated via Synaptic. With the updates, it seems to have fixed the
problem. The default /etc/resolv.conf generated by NetworkManager now

instead of mcs and my system runs VERY slow now. For example, xfce4
-menu-plugin eats up to 50% CPU when I click on the menu.

I'm using Rhythmbox 0.11.6 (intrepid) and I can find lots of Maya
Filipic music (and indeed lots of other things I know to exist because

Hi Jakob,
Thanks for reporting this bug and also finding a patch. I did attempt
to use ps2pdf to compress a PDF and found that when used on Ubuntu's
shipped example content, i did indeed make the file size smaller.
However, when i ran it against a PDF generated from firefox print-to-
