I think this is no bug but a mistake with handling the preferences (if not I am
sorry to imputed this to you).
If you open your project-account there is a link ->project preferences. You
have to look there what your "Default computer location" is (you can decide
between home, work or school)

This error still occurs in Jaunty kernel 2.6.28-7 64 bit. I've just
commented that I can now drag and drop files to the phone, via Nautilus,

I have the same problems here (but with Jaunty Alpha - 9.04). After the login,
I got a black screen, but with the mouse pointer.
If I disable the compiz (chmod a-x /usr/bin/compiz.real), the metacity works
normally.

by reformating my computer with Ubuntu 8.10 again.
If the problem shows itself again I will apply Your fix and let You know if it

I'm going to disable that again in a followup upload, so that people

Public bug reported:
I cannot upgrade Ubuntu from 8.04 to 8.10 using Synaptic update manager
package. Synaptic stops the download package process warning that cannot
found specific packages. My network connection is Ok and I've tryed to
repeat the process several times, but without success.
