or update. The transfer speeds are horribly slow and wonder how this
can not be a priority fix. It renders Ibex almost unusable for normal

Thanks. This is the expected behaviour, if it cannot detect the monitor
it will use pretty conservative settings for sync ranges and you end up
with 800x600.
Can you please start out with the default xorg.conf and only add the
sync ranges? This should give a higher resolution. And maybe some of th
"ACPI: EC: missing confirmations, switch off interrupt mode."
I'm still seeing this issue on a Macbook 2,1 with the 2.6.27.11 kernel on
intrepid AMD 64.
This is the last thing logged before the computer freezes (unable to
restart X, unable to SSH in via wireless network).

This patch tries to make sure that /etc/acpi/*.d/90-hdparm.sh does not
overwrite settings made by laptop-mode-tools or hdparm. Each harddisk is
checked individually; APM settings are only applied if the drive is
neither controlled by /etc/laptop-mode/laptop-mode.conf nor by a
matching section in /e

and Gutsy. They are available from my PPA. The only one I've not tested
