Ok the difference I can see is that 3.2 adds a byte of null padding. The changelog indicates that WinXP does that as well, but Samba 3.0 didn't do this. So here's a patch that removes the null padding again. I can't commit this patch just like that, but it should help pinpointing the difference. *
