This is a very simple thing to fix. Why hasn't it been fixed yet? It
just needs:
1. A launcher script for parsing .URL files
2. A MIME type for .URL files
3. A binding between the MIME type and the launcher script
All of these have already been done, they just need to be included in
Ubuntu.

I'm having a problem like that. My Ubuntu 8.10 (2.6.27-9-generic x86_64)
"appears" to have no sound at all. I've tried everything described here,
including to kill pulseaudio. But, as my laptop have 2 jacks, I've tried
to plug amplified output and, at one plug I've got a continuous
/var/log/Xorg.0.log attached.

still haven't for other reasons). I have hundreds, maybe thousands of
URLs scattered in project folders. There's no way I could migrate from
Windows without this functionality. I'm sure there are many others the

specifying "offline". When Evolution goes offline in the session, it
keeps the calendar, but when I quite Evolution and restart (see
camel2.out), the calendar is unchecked and cannot be displayed.

I have a slightly different situation in that I must do the
SUSPEND_MODULES="forcedeth" fix as well as an ifdown/ifup to get my
network back.
After suspend, ethtool says that a link is detected, but the interface
is not listed in ifconfig. ifup eth2 tells me:
ifup: interface eth2 already configur
In 8.10 there's no "clutch" package, but the web interface integrated in
Transmission doesn't have this issue anymore. Thus, I'm marking this bug
as fixed.

i think Pedro was just helping you collect relevant data so we could
look at why the bug happened and if it's reproducible on another machine
so we could fix it more easily. I don't think he was saying the wiki

Sorry for the late reply, I just finished my exams yesterday. Right now
I'm setting up a 64 bit build environment, so I should have this package
built tonight as long as I don't run into any hiccups.
