Yes, still broken in intrepid, I ended up doing a work around where I
use the Bluetooth udev event to bring up my wireless as my wireless
radio and bluetooth are enabled by the same hardware switch.

everything working with the backports and blacklisting the bad drivers,

I want to add my support to this...biblatex is becoming the standard way
of formatting bibliographies in latex and its always one of the first
things I have to install when I setup Ubuntu systems. Either going
upstream and asking that this be included in TeXLive, or packaging it
separately within

The shortcut to open a new Nautilus window should work even the desktop
is focused.

I observe exactly this phenomenon on my IBM X41 laptop with Intel i915gm
graphics.
I will try Mr. Borggren-Franck's workaround, but a real solution would
be great.

I have the same problem:
Start with Oxygen White theme
Go into System settings, select the KDE classic theme & click on Apply
The correct pointer shows throughout the settings window & my desktop
Close the settings window
Re-open the settings window - the pointer within the window is Oxygen White,

Gnome-sound-recorder uses gstreamer for everyting, according to what it
depends on at least. If you can, I'd try and use another gstreamer based
application, such as a CD ripper for example, and see what happens when
