If you're dual booting with Windows then you might try regressing back
to your old BIOS and upgrading from Windows before going back in linux.
This might rule out a bad BIOS pack or upgrade. You might also try
regressing back to your old BIOS from linux itself and seeing if the
problem goes away.
I had similar behavior happen to me on my laptop when using Acronis Disk
Director 10 boot CD (which is linux based). If I don't select "Run Full
Version" (which has more drivers), and I start trying to use my touchpad
it will jump erratically and do random clicks. So this *might* be a
driver issu

Hi all, I'm also experiencing a variation of this bug. My motherboard is
Asus M2N DH with integrated RTL8187 USB module. The difference is I ONLY
observe disconnection when I run p2p clients. At first I thought it had
something to do with bittorrent, but recently I tried other programs
like Amule a

Note however, I also use a WD Passport (320GB) drive (on the SB600, the

goes through pulseaudio, ie appear as streams in the pulseaudio tools.

Well, confirmed that workaround really works. I can use my tv tuner card
(with tvtime for example) since the audio output of the tv card is
plugged into the input line of the sound card. But if I would like to
