Exact same problem here with Intrepid while updating to kernel
2.6.27-9-generic 64 bits on an Acer computer with an Athlon64/Opteron
and an ATI RS690 [Radeon X1200 Series] graphics card.
Since the update, Ubuntu us functioning in low graphics mode. fglrxinfo
reports "BadRequest".
