Exact same problem here with Intrepid while updating to kernel 2.6.27-9-generic 64 bits on an Acer computer with an Athlon64/Opteron and an ATI RS690 [Radeon X1200 Series] graphics card.
Since the update, Ubuntu us functioning in low graphics mode. fglrxinfo reports "BadRequest". I unfortunately do not know where I can find the error message that appeared during the update as posted above in the initial message by toffyrn, but I recall it was the same : "Multiple versions in DKMS. Unsure what to do. Resolve manually." Attached is the output result from ls -alR /var/lib/dkms ** Attachment added: "output from ls -alR /var/lib/dkms" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20098305/foo.bar -- fglrx: Multiple versions in DKMS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303148 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
