Another 'me too'. I have exactly the same hardware, and see the same
syslog as Fajar, but I'm using the latest network-manager from Intrepid
and attempting to connect to an WPA2 enterprise network using PEAP.

I just upgraded Hardy -> Intrepid and came across this problem that
every letter is deemed to be a misspelled word. It is very, very
annoying. Very few Ubuntu users will see this as a quirk, they will see
it as a disaster. Can I suggest this should be seen as a critical
blocking bug to be fixed

The Problem was an error in mapping user and group ID to the LDAP

I have set the right UID/GID in the smb.conf with

gid map = 500-600
