After building the latest v4l package, i have managed to get device to show up
with "cat /proc/bus/input/devices". "evtest /dev/input/event6" also sees my
remote input.
Although when I do "/etc/init.d/lirc restart verbose" i still get this:

I just think it's a laugh, a linux distribution that can't cope with

I have the same problem, boot with USB stalls with Grub error 17 with no
change to edit grub.

Plugging a standard monitor into the notebook and rebooting allows full
color on both notebook screen and external monitor. Removing the
external monitor - the notebook screen is OK. Rebooting the notebook

I'm having the same problem. No audio after upgraded Ubuntu.
When I try to play any of my music I get this massege:
"Failed to connect stream: Invalid argument"
And if I try to fix the volume all I got is the mesegge:
"No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found."

Confirmed here again. Intrepid with FF 3.0.4.
Most boxes do work, however, the gmail compose mail text box definitely
doesn't receive clipboard contents from Evolution's compose mail text
box (other boxes, like the To: field do work).

When I try to shutdown Linux by pressing the Shutdown symbol on the top-
right corner of the screen, my computer just takes my sidebars and
doesn't go to the pop-up window of the 'shutdown', 'hibernate' or
